Today’s Learning Target

By the end of today's lesson, you'll be able to say, "I can use relevant details from my reading to answer a question."

In order to complete today’s lesson:

  1. Watch the video above.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of this page to view Drawn Together, written by Minh Le and illustrated by Dan Santat as well as The Most Magnificent Thing written and illustrated by Ashley Spires.
  3. Use relevant details from your reading to answer the questions I’ve asked in the video:

What does this book teach me about what it means to make      something?

 Why is making important?

View each book once, keeping these questions in mind.

Then, view each book a second time. As you watch and listen,          find the details from each book that help you answer each                question above.

Stop the video and doodle or write those details down, so that        you don’t forget them. Rewind and view parts of the book over          again, as you need to.

Your teacher will let you know how you should plan to share your answers.

Remember: If you have questions, be sure to ask your teacher. Please don’t leave comments here.

I hope you enjoy the books, everyone. It’s so good to meet you! I will see you at the start of our next lesson.
